Copyright Fees Increase
The copyright office has published a new fee schedule, effective July 1, 2006. The new, higher basic registration fee is $45. For the complete schedule of fees go to the United States Copyright Office website at copyright.gov.

United States Patent & Trademark Office Website
The online resources of the United States Patent & Trademark Office continue to improve. This year the USPTO has made the entire file wrapper for trademark applications available online through its Trademark Document Retrieval (TDR) service. As a result it is now much easier to find and review all of the relevant records of trademarks of interest. .mobi Domains Now Available for Registered Trademark Owners
The top level domain .mobi is now becoming available for registration by those who provide content primarily through mobile devices. Following an initial "Sunrise Registration" period from June 12 until September 22, 2006, during which registered trademark owners had the exclusive opportunity to register their marks as domains, since September 26, 2006, registration has been open to everyone.
